“Joy’s power is that small moments can spark big changes. Even the tiniest joyful gestures add up over time, and before we know it, we have not just a few happier people but a truly joyful world.”
-Ingrid Fetell Lee
My goal for you is interior spaces that reflect who you are now and will support you moving forward. Years ago, in college, I didn’t choose interior design as a major because I felt there was something missing from the curriculum; after much reflection I believe that was the missing link between who lives in and uses the rooms, and what their goals might be.

I believe homes and work spaces created with intention offer the opportunity to enhance your life. It isn’t enough to have beautiful spaces; ideally, the interiors you inhabit enrich your existence because they reflect who you are today, and set the stage for your future happiness and success.
There are many areas to look for guidance and inspiration: historic precedent, basic principles of design and color, energy of the home including feng shui, organizing and cleaning. I’ve studied all of these and love to work with people to bring about transformation of their space and by extension, themselves. For we are all intimately connected to the spaces in which we live: we can change them and subsequently shift our lives forward in new and exciting directions.

I love to-
-
hear how you live day to day, and what you’d like to change
-
talk about where to find inspiration and start the process
-
choose a small project (one wall color) or a big project (the whole house!)
-
present a plan for organizing, prioritizing, and phasing your wishes
-
offer sources for furnishings and accessories
How do you want the rooms to feel? What would you like your life to look like in the next several years? How would that be reflected in decor? I’ve looked for that missing piece in all of my studies and experiences. Aside from creating attractive spaces, how do you make them personal, with meaning, that would allow for transformation? Is that found in feng shui, the Chinese study of energy flow? Is the absence of clutter, a home free of encumbrances from the past, enough? Or is simply having a very clean house the most important feature?
Eventually, I concluded that ALL of these areas matter: beautiful spaces, arranged with feng shui guidelines, both cleaned out (without any clutter) and clean can play a strongly supportive role in the challenge of learning our lifes’ lessons. That’s a tall order! But by weaving together these priorities, I can help you create rooms that will support your growth and increased joy in your years ahead.
